Media Coursework Brief

Which brief have you chosen?
Our group chose brief three, which will be promoting young and new musical acts in Bristol. It is a different type of media rather than our last task which was to make a movie trailer, and it will help us learn about the different types of media.

Which tasks will you be undertaking?
Our group decided to do a broadcast and a print. For the broadcast we are going to be doing an EPK on young artists in Bristol we know who have some of their own videos and are alredy known which will help to make the EPK more realistic and interesting to make. We decided to do a print as well as we wanted to add creativity to the coursework and make adverts and flyers for the artists.

Who will you be working with?
I will be working in a group of three, with me, Ella Dovey and Jack Pugh-Waters.

What will be your specific role in the group?
My specific role in the group is director. I chose this role because I wanted to experiment with different roles within a group from my last task.

Any early ideas for the titles?
We have had no early ideas yet for the title of our coursework.

Media Blog

Here is another update of our trailer progress.
We have done some filming and are set to do some more.

I couldn't make the second filming date, but the other three students went on and filmed and finished all the filming and got all the shots needed for the trailer. George played the art of the teenager in all the shots. We will start the editing on Monday.

Media blog

Hi

My name is India, and I have made this blog for my college media class. The project is to create a trailer for a film, and I am doing this in a group with three other students.
The film we are making a trailer for is called 'Isolation?'. It tells the story of a crazy teenager, who has no friends because they are a little bit mental. This is how they are isolated, except their not because they soon find out that they are being stalked by zombies. But the trailer doesn't reveal if the zombies are in the mind of the teen or if they are real.

This will be a UK horror film, funded by Warner Bros and created by an independent production company. The target audience will be teenagers and we thought that the theme would appeal more to boys.
